With a crystalline voice and a guitar in hand, Dominique explores the shifting territories of identity, migration, and belonging. A binational artist, born in Guatemala and based in Switzerland, she writes and sings in Spanish, French, and English, weaving bridges between her two cultures.
Her debut album, Dos Profundidades, produced by Latin Grammy winner Gaby Moreno, explores the dance between the conscious and the subconscious.
With Regresar, entirely self-produced, Dominique asserts a songwriting voice that is both intimate and political, transforming the migratory experience into a sensitive and universal sonic space. The album evokes the fracture between two countries, but above all the invisible bridges we build to feel at home.
Regresar was developed during her participation in the Proxima mentorship program at Les Docks (2021–2022). Her tour included over 40 concerts in Switzerland and internationally, including a collaboration with La Chica as the godmother of FIMU 2025.
She is currently preparing a third album in three parts, where the three languages coexist in balance, exploring contrasts between shadow and light, day and night.
A lover of acoustic textures, Dominique follows in the lineage of artists like Natalia Lafourcade, Silvana Estrada, and Madison Cunningham. On stage, she is accompanied by Los Cuchumatanes, a versatile collective that can perform as a duo, trio, quartet, quintet, or sextet, adapting seamlessly to both intimate venues and festival stages.
